Solomon may not belong to this family. However, since he seems tohave b een raised by his "Aunt" Elizabeth Reeves, among others, thisis the on ly family he could have come from.

8/31/1850 Fleming Co, KY. The census taker recorded Francis Purvis,4 2, a farmer with $600 in real estate. Wife Ann was 43 and thechildren w ere Sarah, 21, George, 16, a laborer, Francis, 11, Hiram,9, Martha, 6, a nd Clarenda, 5. Next door were James and NancyPurvis (age 23 & 24 re spectively).

"In1880....Queen Johnson, age 17, ward of Francis PURVIS Sr and hissec ond wife Sarah Moore JOHNSON who married 10-28-1878. Sarah was b1800.. ..
I have a copy of a photograph of Queen and Boston taken in Moreheadtak en about the time of their marriage. The original came from theestate o f William Jasper JOHNSON. He was a grandson of Ruth Ann Mooreand her h usband Ben JOHNSON. Ruth was a niece of Sarah Moore Johnson.William Ja sper’s first wife was Lizzie Purvis, a granddaughter ofFrancis Purvis a nd his wife Anne COOPER. Queen and Lizzie attendedschool together and t he photograph was given to Lizzie."
