1/1/1711 "in an action of trespass on the case between ThomasMcClelland, plaintiff, and George Purvis, defendant, at thedefendant's motion, as pecial imparlance is granted him till the nextCourt."
3/4/1711 "the action of trespass on the case between ThomasMcClelland , plaintiff, and George Purvis, defendant, is referred byconsent."
6/3/1711 The case was dismissed.
7-8/1711 George and brother, John, were plaintiffs in a lawsuitagainst their mother over the estate of their father.
3/3/1718 "Thomas Libbey, John Price, George Purvis and Robert Spencerfor not attending church."
4/1/1718 According to probate records he owed the estate of PaulDurram some money.
1727-8 Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania Co, VA. He took out a patent for1000 acres. He lost title to the land when the county court ruledfive years later that he had familed to build any imporvements asrequired by the patent.
8/1728 Spotslvania Co, near Massaponas. He was named by the countycourt as Overseer of the Road from Masaponax to Snow Creek.
10/1/1734 He was assigned to take a crew to clear a new road from thelower side of Massaponax through William Perry's Tavern to meet a newroad cleared from Caroline Co, VA.
4/1744 Orange Co, VA. In the Deed book, a boundary line for histract was described as encompassing a branch of the RappahannockRiver.
