In hisfa mily were wife Anne, 54, Silas, 28, Mahala, 19, Jane A, 17, Sarah,14, J ulia, 11, Catharine, 9, all born in OH. Silas was also a farmerbut wi thout property so most likely helped with his father's farm.
NAMESOF THE LEGAL VOTERS OF GOSHEN TOWNSHIP. "There is no date, butby c onsulting a number of tax lists, and finding from the CEMETERYINSCRIPT ION BOOK, when Shadrach Starkey died, and tracking down whenShadrach w as the assessor, a date between 1855 and 1860 isprobable.....The last s entence reads "I hereby Certify the above tobe a true list of all the w hite male inhabitants of Goshen Townshipover twenty one years of age, S hadrach Starkey Assessor of Goshen."

This couple disappears after 1860.
