He served as executor for four estates, two of which were his ownparen ts.

1817 Hamilton Twp, Franklin Co, OH. He bought the farm thateventuall y passed to son, Harvey.
1825 Guernsey Co, OH. Robert was listed on the tax roll as anon-resi dent.
1830 Hamilton Twp, Franklin Co, OH. The census taker recorded Roberta s a farmer at age 40-50, wife also 40-50, and 8 children.
1835 - 1838 He served as a county commissioner.
1840 Apparently Abigail was not at home when the census taker came aso nly Robert and 6 children were recorded there at the time.
1850 By then, all their own children were gone but one of Abigail'sre latives, Wm H McIntyre, 12, was living with them.
1860 The census taker found Robert and Abigail with property = $30,0 00/2000. Wm McIntyre at 22 was still there and an ElizabethSpangler, 2 1 year old servant, was also there.
Robert will was dated 3/31/1858 and it was admitted to probate4/28/186 2. It stated:
"In the name of the benevolent father of all good - I Robert Lisle oft he County of Franklin and State of Ohio being of poor health but ofsou nd mind and memory and understanding thanks be to Almight God forthe s ame do make, publish and declare this my Last Will and Testamentin man ner and form following, that is to say -
1st, it is my will that my funeral expenses and all just debts befully p aid.
2nd, I give devise and bequeath to my loving wife Abigail all the farmo n which we now reside that lies on the north side of the countyroad, a nd one horse and buggy and harness, one cow, and household andkitchen f urniture that she may see fit to select.
3rd, I will unto my eldest son John Lisle my part of the farm that hea nd I bought in partnership of William Lisle provided he is to pay tohi s brother Samuel Lisle's heir Jeremiah lisle two hundred dollarswhen h e shall have arrived at twenty one years of age.
4th, I will to my grandson Jeremiah Lisle the south part of my farm inC linton Township, Franklin County commencing at a large white elmtree o n the west bank of Whetstone near where the branch that comesthrought t he farm intersects the creek, running thence to a stone inthe road at t he east end of the fence, thence west to the middle ofthe west line of s aid farm, And the south half of a lot of land beingwest and adjoining D aniel Eakins land the land lot to be dividedequal by running a line ea st and west.
5th I will to my son Eli McIntire Lisle the north part of both thelast a bove described tracts of land.
6th, I will to my eldest daughter Elizabeth the money she received forw hich I hold the receipt.
7th, I will to my second daughter Rachel the east half of lot no 479in t he City of Columbus, Ohio. Also the money the said Rachel hasreceived o f me.
8th I will to William H McIntire the south east quarter of section 35i n township three south of range 3 East in the district of landsubject t o sale in Lima, Ohio.
9th, I will to my youngest son Harvey lisle the farm that I now liveon s ubject to and encumbered by his mother's dower to have and tohold the s ame during his life then to go to his heirs.
10th, I will that the residue of my real estate and personal propertyb e sold and converted into money and equally divided amongst myheirs, p rovided my wife Abigail is to receive one third of all moneyand notes a t my decease, real estate not to be sold short of fiveyears from my de cease.
Lastly, I hereby constitute and appoint my eldest son John to be myexe cutor of this my Last Will and Testament revoking and annullingall for mer wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and noohter to b e my last will and testament. Whereunto I have set my handand seal th is 31st day of March, 1858."
