"In 1837 Levi joined his brother John in Bridgeport, Ontario, Canada,where he became a partner in John's tanning business, Eagle Tannery.In 1840 they were joined by the youngest brother, Sem, but theirfather badly wanted one of his sons to come home and take over thefamily farmstead. Levi was induced to return.
Levy married Fanny Hess on Dec. 30, 1845. They had twelve children andlived about three miles from Brunnersville.
