Lancaster Co, PA. The Annals of the county recorded his history: "Heb egan farming on the old homestead. He purchased the first threshingma chine in his section and did the threshing for quite a distancearound. I n 1839-40 he builta house and barn on the old Groffhomestead, then mos tly timber land, which he cleared gradually."

1876 Brunnerville, PA. Having sold the farm to Henry Brubaker andmov ed, "he built himself a house and where both his sons resided,Aaron ha ving the foundry and machine shop and John B the store."
An Old Citizen of Brunnerville is Dead

Mr. Ezra Wissler, one of the oldest residents of Brunnerville,died at 11 o'clock on Tuesday night, after a prolonged illness. Mr.Wissler was a widower for a number of years. Two sons survive tomourne his loss. They are Aaron, proprietor of the Brunnervilleagricultural works, and John B. merchant at the same place. Deceasedwas a faithful member of the Mennonite church. His age was 82 years,5 months and 27 days. Funeral will take place from this lateresidence today (Friday) at 9:30 A.M. Interment at Hammer creekmeeting house. The relatives and friends are respectfully invited toattend the funeral without further notice.

The exact cause of death is unknown but it was "an illnes of over sixmonths, occasioned by pneumonia."
