"I was looking at your site as I am a descendant of Capt. WilliamPowel l. I just got back from London and got a copy of John Powell'swill 4 J une 1599, Brewer/Ale House Southwark, Surrey Co, England.Hester was an E LLIS. He names his "brother in law" George ELLIS inthe will. Just th ought you would like the info. I also went to theGuildhall library an d ordered the records on John/HesterWilliam/Elizabeth Welles and Georg e/Anne Ellis from St. Olaves andSt. GIles at Cripplegate Parish Record s. I did visit St. Giles andit was a wonderful experience as Shakesph ere, Milton, Sir THomas Moreamongst others were also members of the Ch urch. PS I wonder ifWilliam's son George married a cousin, Ann as his g randmother was anELLIS also??"
