On this day it was represented to the Court that Evin Walter diedintes tate on or about the 19th day of May, 1843 (2?), and the widowhaving f iled a renunciation the court does hereby appoint John B.Fulton admini strator of estate of EVIN WALLER. Whereupon a bond isfiled with Thomas F ulton and Archibald Standifer security. Orderedthat Thomas Fulton, Lev i Fleming and Levi Patterson be appointedappraisers of said estate. Was it her son Eli, 10, living with with an Eli Waller, 58, in ShelbyC o, IL in 1850 at census time?
6/20/1853 & again 12/19/1859 Moultrie Co, Il. She was appointedguard ian of the Eli Waller heirs, her own children, Eli and Angeline.Guardi anship was common practice which allowed parents to handle thechildren s' inheritances.
8/16/1860 Jonathan Creek Twp, Moultrie Co, IL. As a 52 year oldwidow f or the second time, she was head of the house in the censuswith proper ty = $800/300 and 3 adult Waller children living with her,son, Eli, 22 , as a farmer; his wife Elizabeth, 20, and daughter,Angeline, 19, as a n assistant. Had her Purvis children died or wherewere they?
7/28/1870 Jonathan Creek Twp, Moultrie Co, IL. At age 66, Sarah thenl ived with son Eli and family, including his second wife.
Some family listings show her birth year as 1806, others have herbirth d ate as 7/1/1807.
