1850 IN, where his first child was born.

1851, Cumberland Co, IL, where the 2nd child arrived.

1855 Cumberland Co, IL. The state census taker recorded his householdc onsisting of 2 males under 10, himself at 20-30, 2 daughters under10 a nd his wife, same age as himself. Father, Benjamin, lived nextdoor.

1860 Cumberland Co, IL. At census time he was listed as a 28 yearold f armer with property = $4000/500. Elizabeth was 30 and they hadtheir f irst 6 children: Martha J, 10; Daniel, 8; Benjamin, 6;William, 4; Man da, 1. Next door was the Charles Powell family, alsofrom Indiana. Hi s father lived several houses down the road.

1856 Greenup, Cumberland Co, IL. The state census listed Z W Daveewi th 4 males and 3 females in the household: 1 male under 10, 1 at10-20, Z echariah at 30-40, 1 female under 10, 1 was 10-20, and hiswife, also 3 0-40.

Apparently he was appointed guardian of his 3 Parker nephews, sons ofs ister, Malinda, following the death of their father but in 1867court r ecords he was the "former guardian."

1869-1870 Greenup, IL. "Zachary" was appointed police constable.

From the Cumberland Democrat newspaper:

Jan. 6, 1970 McFadden of Greenup had his team run away with him on hisw ay home from the Berry School House where church was held. The buggywa s smashed as "fine as flies" and brusing Mack up to a considerableexte nt also. The buggy belonged to Zack Davee of the Greenup LiveryStable.

1870 By census time that year, his estate had grown immensly. Heoper ated a livery stable with property = $8000/2000. His familyconsisted o f wife Elizabeth, 41, and children, Isaac B, 16, WilliamJ, 14, Sarah E , 6. Sarah Dawson, 23, housekeeper, lived with them.Isaac helped out a t the livery stable. Son Daniel, lived 3 doorsdown the street and dau ghter, Martha Goodwin, was 3 doors down theother way.
The Majority Point, IL, byline of the newspaper carried the notice ofh is death: "Mr. Zack Davee, an old citizen of Greenup, died at thisres idence in that city on last Saturday." and the Cumberland Democratadde d that "Mr Davee had many warm friends in this city."

The following does not pertain to this man but will remain here untilt he exact name of this man has been determined.

Old Man Davee died very suddenly on Saturday. He worked in hisblacksmi th shop until ten o'clock and by noon he was dead.
