Jim, at 6'4" and 200 pounds, followed in his father's footsteps with
football during school but eventually went to work for TWA while
attending college and training to become a commercial pilot.
From the newspaper column, 50 Years Ago Today, on 9/30/99:
"Mrs. Charles Hoskins and Mrs. Don Bowen entertained theirkindergarten c lass with a party in honor of the birthdayanniversaries of Melinda Tuc ker and Jimbo Purvis. The party was heldat the home of Mrs. Bowen."
