Listed as Cornelius "Vangunda" in thatcensus, h is household included 1 male aged 5-10, 1 at 10-15, 2 were15-20, 2 at 2 0-30, Cornelius was 50-40, 1 female at 5-10, 1 was age10-15, 1 at 15-2 0, and 1 at 40-50. Two doors down were some ofSarah's Clayton relativ es. He was the only Van Gundy in the county.

7/16/1870 Buena Vista Twp, Jasper Co, IA. That year he was listed int he census as Conley Vangunda, 82, pauper, living in the countyinfirmar y. Anna Vangunda, 80, was also living there. Wonder why thechildren d idn't take them in?
