Neighbor or Citizen’s Affidavit (27 Jan 1894)
Ambrose Arthur, Linton, Greene County, Indiana
Ambrose states that he has known Reason for 2 years, from 1892 to1894. S tates that he knows that Reason’s eyesight is bad and thatReason canno t make a living by manual labor."

6/22/1860 Beech Creek Twp, PO Solsberry, Greene Co, IN. Recorded int hat census were Ambrose Arthur, 31, wife Mary, 30, Martha J, 5,Rachel S , 2, and Margret A, 14. Margaret being listed last indicatesshe was n ot a child of this family but both Ambrose and Mary wouldhave been too y oung to be her parents so whose was she?

7/29/1870 Same place, PO Newark. The census taker found a largefamil y there and listed Ambrose Arthur, 41, Mary, 40, Ambrose's 70year old w idowed father John, and children: Martha, 15, Rachel, 12,Sibbea A, 9, J ohn A, 7, Anna D, 4, and Mary 2. Ambrose's occupationwas farmer with p roperty valued at $1500/300.
