8/7/1820 Monroe Co, IN. The census taker recorded John Arthur at age1 6-25, with a family that included 1 male uner 10 and 1 female also16-2 5. Next door was brother Joseph and farther down was brotherSamuel.. T hey were the only ones by the name in that county andexcept for anothe r John in Delaware Co, no other Arthurs were in thestate.
