Robert and William were not included as part of William andElizabeth's f amily in local history, but they lived with them in1880.

6/23/1880 Lincoln, Crawford Co, KS. At census time William, 31, wasa f armer and lived next door to nephew Elisha Black. In William'sfamily w ere Elizabeth, 30, Robert, 12, farm laborer, William, 10,Francis, 6, W olery, 4, and Fowler, 2.
6/9/1900 Same place. That year at census time Wm B was 53 years old,m arried 26 years to Elizabeth, 48, who had birthed 9 children, only 8of w hom still survived. In the household were Fowler, 23, Nora, 19,Susie, 1 6, Thomas, 13, Geo, 12, Florence, 10, and Mattie, 4. Williamwas a far mer and the boys were farm laborers.
The 1905 History of Crawford County, KS carried his bio:
"WILLIAM B. COONROD owns the old Coonrod homestead, and married Mrs.El izabeth Fowler Reynolds. They have four sons and four daughters.Franc, t he oldest son, is a prosperous farmer. He was married in 1899to Miss J essie Mack. They have two little daughters. Fowler, thesecond son, is o n his own farm, across the line in Bourbon county.His wife was Miss Li zzie Hulbert of Arcadia. They have one littledaughter. The oldest daug hter, Nora, was married to Olin Kelly in1900. They live on a farm in C rawford county and have two children, adaughter and a son. The other c hilldren, Susie, Tom, George, Florenceand Mattie, still live at home."
The following was included in William's bio but clearly refers to hiss iblings:
"George Coonrod was married to Miss Lucas. They live in the IndianTerr itory. Martha Coonrod was the wife of Elisha Black, Sr., one ofthe ear liest settlers. Her daughter, Mrs. Conditt, lives in Lamarand, althoug h left a widow years ago, she has given her children allgood education s. Her other daughter, Mrs. Hightower, also a widow,lives in Texas. He r only son, E. B. Black, lives in Cato. He is afarmer. He has two chil dren, Lee and Viva. Mary Coonrod was the wifeof James Odom, an early s ettler. They had only one child, John W.Odom, who lives near McCune. E mily Coonrod was married to HenryGaither and lives in the Indian Terri tory."
