Jacob was a self employed generalfarmer. Neighbors were Galbreaths and Clark families.
1/3/1920 Census index says Jefferson St, Benton (original says Marnetown),Cass Co, IA. That census taker recorded him as J B Parker, 60,as single man working as a farm laborer but did own the home free ofmortgage. Living with his was his widowed mother Malinda C Gibson,79.
Birth records of his son in 1886 have Jacob's age as 33, making hisbir th year 1853.
Some say he died in Greenup, IL on 10/23/1918 but he was still alivein 1920 when his mother lived in Cass Co, IA with him.
