He was a carpenter with the Price Cosntruction Co in Mattoon, IL, anda lso worked for the Kull Lumber Co.
He was a member of the Salvation Army and an avid fisherman.
The funeral was held at 1:30 on Monday at the Schilling Funeral Homewi th Major Roger Windell and Envoy Don Kincade of the Salvation Armyoffi ciating, assisted by Captain D Wakefield. Brother, Ralph, sang"Just a C loser Walk With Thee" and in addition to the organist'snumbers a duet o f guitarists played and sang "Love Without End,Amen."
Pallbearers were David J Arthur, lewis Edwards, William Ramsey, TomPar ker, John Pearson, and Nathan Arthur.
