6/29/1896 W Terre Haute, Vigo Co, IN. He stated in a generalaffidavi t that his brother, John R, had lived with him in Sweet WaterTwp, Vigo C o, IN, until John joined the Civil War in 1863, and thathe knew nothin g about John's divorce from a wife prior to MaryCollins.
His obituary said he was 83 making his birth year 1830.
