7/6/1870 Pinhook Twp, PO Brattons Mill, Robertson Co, KY. Before then ext census they had moved, probably with Martha's sister America andTh omas Haley who lived in the same area. Spencer was recorded at 47year s of age, Martha A at 38. Children in the house were James W,17, and N imrod, 16, Joseph W, 12, Sarah A, 10, Juliet, 8, Martha A,5, America J , 3, and Priscilla, 1. Spencer's occupation was farmerand his propert y was worth $6000/4475.
6/3/1880 Same place. The census taker recorded "Spenc" at 57, stillf arming, Martha was 47 and their children at the time were Martha A,16, M aggie J, 12, Sherman, 8, Grant U S, 6, Rosa, 4, Joseph N, 23,and Nimro d R, 25.
Daughter Sarah's death records say he was born in Robertson Co, KY.
