7/14/1870 Milford, Bracken Co, KY. In the census that year John was5 1, a farmer, and had property worth $3000/1400. Wife Priscilla was42 a nd they had the following children: William, 24; Rachel, 19;Simon, 18 ; Hana, 13; Dove, 11; J B (male), 9; Sally, 7; S J (male),4; Bela, 2; a nd Mary, 4 mo.
6/26/1880 Dist 13, Milford, Bracken Co, KY That year John A wasliste d in the census at age 60, still farming, "Pracilla" was 58.Children i n the house were Jefferson, 18, Sallie H, 16, Stonewall,14, Bela, 12, M ary E, 10, and Jane, 8. John's 20 year old nephew,John Turner, lived w ith them and worked on the land. Son Simon was afew doors down the ro ad.
His death was not recorded in KY death records.
