Hugo: Miss Maggie Collins died at the residence of her mother, Sundaym orn. Sept. 20th after a long and painful illness of consumption. Thede ceased was 27 years old and leaves a widowed mother, and otherrelative s* an a large circle of friends to morn her loss At the ageof 15 years s he was converted and united with the C.P. Church nearReardon After the f amily moved to Hugo she united with the M.E.Church. She was a faithful w orker in the church and Sunday school,where she was a teacher of the i nfant class. During her long illnessshe was patient and kind, bearing h er suffering with Christianfortitude.
The funeral services were held at the M.E. Church Monday Morning andw ere conducted by Rev. Wyatt, who preached a tender sermon. Thefloral o fferings were beautiful and appreciated. A long procession ofsorrowing r elatives and friends followed her mortal remains to UnionCemetery, whe re they were laid to rest.
The pall bearers were Blanche Ingram, Mattie Cheney, Maggie Siepp,Net tie Goldsberry, Eva Siepp, and Ethel Davis.
