"Know All Men By These Presents that I Will Powell of the Isle ofWight County being at present very sick and weak in body but yet inperfect senses and memory, doe, if it shall please GOD to take me outof this present life, make this my Last Will and Testament asfolloweth-
First I doe give unto my loving WIFE, Elizabeth Powell, the plantationI now live upon dureing her life (also) all the stock I have untobelonging dureing her aforesaid life and then the said land I doe giveunto my sonn John Powell, the Broad Neck at the uper end of my line.
Likewise I doe give my sonn Nathaniell from that Neck down the Swampto my orchard side and the remaining part of this land unto my sonnJacob; to them and theire heires lawfully begotton of theire ownbodyes forever .
