1830 Bedford Co, TN. Was he the Adam Collins in that census? He waso nly 30-39 years old with a family of 9 consisting of: 1 male under5, 1 a ge 5-9, 1 at 15-29, 2 females under 5, 2 age 5-9, his wife also30-39. A lex Collins was at the bottom of the page and on theprevious page was S amuel Collins, same age, with a 70-80 year oldwoman (mother?) In the s ame county were Augustine, Carter, andElisha Collins. By 1840 every o ne of them was gone.
1830-1831 Coles Co, IL. One local history says the Collins familyarr ived then.

1840 Coles Co, IL. The census that year recorded him living in a roww ith nephew Watson Collins and brother Aaron. Living in Adam's housewe re 1 male aged 10-15, himself at 40-50, 1 female at 5-10, 2 aged10-15 , 1 at 15-20 and another at 40-50 (probably his wife)
9/24/1850 Greesy Creek Pct, Coles Co, IL. It was probably the sameres idence but having turned the farm over to son David, David waslisted a s head of the house. Adam was 62 years old. NephewsZachariah and Sol omon Collins lived just down the road.
8/2/1860 Georgetown Twp, PO Georgetown, Vermilion Co, IL. That yearA dam Collins was 70 years old and still living with son David(recorded a s Daniel in the census). Adam's occupation was farmer buthe had only p ersonal property which was worth $5000, a lot for thatday.
7/14/1870 Cutsville, Morgan Twp, Coles Co, IL. At age 75 (he hadn'ta ged much in the past 10 years) he was living with daughter andson-in-l aw/nephew, Sarah and Aaron Collins.
He may have been born in 1795, the date posted is from the 1850census. T he 1860 census says he was born in 1790 in TN.
