Peoria - Mary L. "Becky" Van Gundy, 66, of Coushatta, La., formerly ofP eoria, died on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, of injuries from a caraccident.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary M. "Meg" Lowry of Coushatta,La.; s on, David P. Van Gundy and daughter-in-law, Angela Van Gundy;three gra ndchildren, Haley and Noah Robbins and Madilynn Cheryl VanGundy, all o f Pleasant Hill, La.; and sister, Margaret Inman(Michael) of Peoria, I ll.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert G. and Mary L.Bechtel , and husband, David S. Van Gundy.
Becky was born on April 20, 1943, in Las Vegas, Nev., and lived mostof h er life in Peoria, Ill. She married David S. Van Gundy on Feb.15, 1969 .
She was a homemaker and moved to Coushatta, La., upon her husband'sret irement.
