Fanny couldn't read or write by 1870.
The 1850 census has her age as 28, making her birth year 1822.
After a long illness with lung fever, Mrs. Frances McAllister ofMorgan T ownship, died last Monday and was interred in the GreasyPoint Cemetery o n Tuesday, Joe Busby having charge of the burialexercises. Mrs. McAlli ster was upward of 80 years old and died as shehad lived in the Christ ian faith, leaving a noble family of sons anddaughters to mourn the lo ss of a loving mother, the best and truestfriend they ever had.
Peace to the ashes of the sainted mother and green be the sod aboveher ; and may her children so live that they may be permitted to joinher i n the Jasper City where death, sorrow and sin are never known.
Mrs. Fannie McAllister died on Monday, and was interred at the UnionCe metery, Tuesday. (The last sentance was pasted on to the obituaryand m ust have been in another paper.)
