Second wife,Rebecca, was 3 8 and the children were Robert, 17, Jefferson, 14,James W, 10, Wm T, 1 0, and Josiah, 8. Living with them was SarahAnderson, 11, (Rebecca's d aughter?).
Local records have his birth place as TN and the 1850 census says hewa s born in NC.
