Since he lived between hismot her and sister, Margaret and Josiah Daily, he probably helped onboth f arms. His age was listed as 35, not 47. His wife was Sarah,32, born I L, not Mary. Children in the house were Serilda, 20,Arminta, 18, Will iam, 16, John, 12, Sarah, 8, Elijah, 6, and Rosa, 2.
6/26/1880 Same place. The census taker found farmer John at age 55,M ary at 54. Their large family consisted of John M, 21, works onfarm; S arah, 18; Elijah, 16, works on farm; Rosa, 12; and brotherFields, 53, a lso a farmer.
1900 Still there. He was 76 years old, married 56 years to Mary, 74,w ho had birthed only 1 child (?) who was still alive. They wereliving w ith son Elijah, 2 doors down was daughter Serilda Morgan andfamily.
