On 3/19/1978 during the 34th annual meeting of the Coles-MoultrieElect ric Cooperative Board at the Mattoon (IL) High School, and underthe wa tchful eye of nearly 700 people, Laurence was given specialrecognition a s he retired after 24 years of continuous service.
He told the draft board he was born in Humboldt, IL.
