6/5/1900 N Okaw Twp, Coles Co, IL. David, 28 (should be 38), had beenm arried 15 years to Nancy M, 27, (should be 38 also). Nancy hadbirthed 6 c hildren, all living: Gustavia, 15, David H, 12, Walter G,9, Grace, 8, M abel, 4, and Raymond, 10 months. David was a farmer.Next door was the J ohn and Jane Abston Whitley family. (Six dayslater David was counted w ith his parents as a foreman on therailroad.)
4/20/1910 Same place. That year in the census were David, 48,farmer, m arried 24 years to Maranda N, 47, with 6 children, one ofwhom was dece ased. Maranda was a school teacher. Children in thehouse were Harris on, 22, Walter G, 20, Mabel, 15, Raymond, 10.

1/15/1920 Same place. The census recorded David and Maranda Daily,bo th 57, living alone but next door was son Walter. David was ageneral f armer and owned the home free of mortgage.
4/19/1930 Lafayette St, Mattoon, Coles Co, The census taker found theo ld couple had retired, moved to town and were living alone. David,68, h ad married at 23 to Maranda, 67, who was 22 at that time. Davidowned t he home which was valued at $10,000, a fair amount for theday. Mattoon w as filled with Daily relatives.
