She owned "Jewell's Restaurant" on So 17th St in Mattoon, IL forseveral years, selling out on 7/2/1976 to Lee Ballard, the owner of acompeting restaurant. She then moved to Decatur, IL where she openedanother restaurant.
She celebrated her 94th birthday with an Italian dinner in Mattoonwith family and friends.
