Mattoon, IL - Kirk Daniel ZuHone, age 31, of Mattoon, IL, passed awayat 12:45 p.m., April 20, 2015, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
The funeral service in his honor will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday,April 25, 2015, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 902 Cleveland Avenue,Charleston, IL. Pastor Ken Hoover will officiate. Interment will be inRest Haven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon, IL. Visitation will be heldFriday evening, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., also at the church.Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, located at 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon,IL 61938, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born August 10, 1983, in Mattoon, IL, Kirk is the son of Daniel andShelley (Kirk) ZuHone. He is survived by his parents, of Mattoon, IL;a brother, John ZuHone and wife Jessi of Boston, MA; a sister, MeganZuHone of St. Paul, MN; grandparents, Richard and Norma Jean Kirk ofMattoon, IL, and Art and Charlotte ZuHone of Mattoon, IL.
Kirk earned a living working the family farm; however, music was hispassion. A music major in college, he was a talented musician and songwriter. He also enjoyed wood working, building complex Lego models,and working on his vehicles.
