9/10/1919 The Decatur (IL) newspaper carried the following:
"Sullivan Soldiers Enlist in Army
Several Sullivan men who served in the world war have recentlyenl isted at the local recruiting office.....Those who have been sentaway r ecently are.....Robert N. Neaves, Sullivan, one year infantryservice i n Europe."
4/26/1930 Sullivan, Moultrie Co, IL. At census time Robert was 31yea rs old , Ethel was 29. Children included Robert, 8; Daniel, 5;Betty, 3 ; and Merris, 1. The house value was $8 and Robert'soccupation was an c ommon laborer at odd jobs.
The 1900 census says he was born in IL.
