Kim was an active member of the Arcola "Lawn Rangers", a comical drillt eam which performs in parades. In the words of columnist TomKacich, t hey are "people whose sights are set a little lower, peoplewhose call i n life is to entertain, to wear funny clothes and pushrusty lawn mover s down a street in a spectacular fashion, usuallycarrying brooms."
The group is made up mostly of Arcola citizens with a sprinkling ofoth ers, such as Dave Berry, columnist, an Urbana attorney, and a TVanchor man. They have become widely known and have even traveled toother sta tes to perform as well.
Kim says he is now involved in the children's activities, baseball,soc cer, and boy scouts.
As of 2004 he has been business manager of the Ford dealership incentr al Illinois for 7 years..
