1790 Where was this family at census time? There was one John Wolfin E arl Twp, Lancaster Co and two in Northumberland Co where Mary'sfather l ived.

1800 Same as last census. There were 3 John Wolfs in Northumberland,2 i n Mahoney Twp.

1800 Adams Co, PA On the westward move son Henry was born there.

1815 Ross Co, OH. John bought the grist-mill on the Kinnikinnickcree k on the NW corner of section 21 from Christian Van Gundy, hisfather-i n-law. He ran it until about 1820 when he sold it toJeremiah Crouse w ho discontinued it.

1820 Green Twp, Ross Co, OH. According to that census John was over4 5 years old with a household consisting of 2 males under the age of10, 1 a ge 10-16, 1 at 16-18, 1 was 16-26, 2 females under 10, 1 at10-16, and 1 a ge 26-45. 2 people wer engaged in agriculture. Ann'srelatives were n eighbors, three doors down was her brother JacobVangundy, followed by h is son John. Down the road in the otherdirection was Samuel Vangundy. .

The History of Ross Co, OH, talked about John:

"Jacob Charles also had a distillery on Blackwater creek. Wolf hadone i n the east part of the township, and Thomas Worthington had onenear hi s mill."

"Wolf was a very large man, who cared more for hunting and othersports t han for hard work, and in 1823 removed to near Marion, wherehe could h ave more elbow room. He finally became reduced incircumstances, and p assed the last years of his life in thepoor-house. None of his descen dants are living in this vicinity."

1830 Green Twp, Ross Co, OH That year at census time John was 50-60y ears old, in his family were 1 male age 5-10, 2 at 10-15, 1 was15-20, 1 a t 20-30, 1 female age 10-15, 1 at 15-20, and 1 at 40-50.Neighbors had a ll changed to unknowns.

1840 Marion, Marion Co, OH. At census time John lived next door to( son) Henry. John was 60-70 years old, his family included 1 maleage 2 0-30, 1 female at 5-10, and 1 age 50-60. In the same countywere Adam, C harles, and another Henry Wolf, back in Ross Co wereAndrew, 2 Jacobs a nd Samuel Wolf. Were any of those also sons?
