7/27/1850 Green Twp, Ross Co, OH. The census taker listed Jacob at41 , a laborer without property. Mary was 44 and in the family wereJohn, 2 3, laboreer, Catherine C, 18, and Mary A, 14. Also countedthere was G eorge W Conner, 58, no occupation. Down the road wasMary's brother Is aac.

6/22/1860 Same place, PO Chillicothe. At census time Jacob, 50, andM ary, 54, lived alone. He was a farmer but had only personalproperty w hich was worth 1650. The family next door was daughterMary and Willia m Woodring.

6/17/1870 Still there. PO Kingston. By the next census, daughterCat herine's family had moved in with them. Jacob, 62, was stillfarming w ith property worth $1800/1000, Mary was 65. Son-in-lawJacob Hyne, 46, w as also a farmer, his property totaled $2200/900.Catherine was 38, wit h 2 children, Alice, 18, and John, 8. It seemsthe Woodrings had moved w est.

6/7/1880 Same place. Jacob, 71, was recorded as a farmer but Mary M,7 4, was a retired farmer (wrong row noted probably). They still hadthe H yne family with them, Jacob was then 55 and a farmer, CatherineE was 4 7, and John A was 18.
