John w as probably Sarah's brother. Next door was theIsaac Conner family wit h some Bixler children. Just down the raodwas Isaac's sister Mary and J acob Fortner.

By the next census it seems Isaac, 59, hadremar ried as his wife's name was Mary A, 56 but apparently the censustaker m isunderstood her name as Sarah was head of the householdlater. Isaac w as a day laborer with only real estate worth $600, nopersonal property . Still at home were Susan, 32; William Lafayette,29, George W, 26, b oth day laborers; John, 23, stage driver; Ellen,22; and Clarissa and E liza, 16. Also counted there were EnochSteadman, 26, stage driver, wi th his daughter Sarah L, 2.
He was 38 years old in 1850 making his birth year 1812.
