John and Anna were charter members of the Centennial Church, firstcalled the Myers Class, probably started by the family of son-in-lawWilliam Myers.

1840 Where were John and Anna that year? None of the children hadany one living with them old enough to be this couple.

9/14/1850 Cain Twp, Fountain Co, IN. John and Ann VanGundy livedwith daughter Delila and William Redenbaugh's family. John was 71(should be nearer 83) with real estate worth $2500, Anna was 77.

8/3/1860 Still there, PO Hillsborough, The census taker found him, atage 96, without a wife and liviing with the family of son Peter. Hewas a retired farmer and had divested of all his property. Censusnotes say he had been "childish" for 2 years.

John's birth date conflicts with brother Joseph, being only daysapart. Since Joseph has been thoroughtly researched by theGenealogical Society , John's date must be wrong.
