"George May emigrated from Pennsylvania to Green Twnshp in 1801, soona fter his arrival purchasing some 400 acres of land in sectionstwenty-o ne and twenty-two on the Adelphi pike. He had a family of sixor eight c hildren. His son Samuel was born in 1791, and was ten yearsof age when h is family came here. He was married in 1834 to CharityLong, and settle d on the farm deeded by her father, where he passedhis life and died i n 1867. They raised a family of twelve children."

2/1816 George and Michael Gundy appraised a horse found by JacobFrede rick, of Green Twp, Ross Co, according to another Gazette item.
