7/22/1870 Same place. That year the census said Sarah was 68 and wasa h ousekeeper but still head of the house. Her property had grown to$960 0/800 but probably had turned over the hard farm work to sonJohn, 21. D aughter Elizabeth, 22, was still at home as well.
6/2/1880 Still there, near Exeter. Sarah was then 78 years old butli ving alone. Next door was the family of son John and next to himwas D aniel's family.
Daughter Sarah told the 1880 census taker that her mother was born inO H.
