He served as Circuit Clerk for Moultrie Co, IL for a number of years.F rom the Daily Review of Decatur, IL 11/26/1910: "County Clerk CashW. G reen also refused a (marriage) license to a couple from Colescounty wh o applied and were not old enough to get a license."
He and his wife were in attendance at the 1926 Powell family reunion.
