7/13/1870 Henry Twp, Henry Co, IN. His little family lived next doort o his parents at census time. Henry was a tanner by trade at age26, w ith property valued at $600. Wife Amelia was also 26 and theyhad adop ted a son, 10 year old Gough Rubin. Also living with themwere Mary Fi nk, 36, a housekeeper, and her daughter, Annie, 7, aswell as 19 year o ld farm hand, Willard Winingham.
6/30/1880 Same place. Family dynamics had changed. Henry and Ameliaw ere both 37 and they had 8 year old son, Howard. However, GoughRubin, 2 0, was then called a servant day laborer, and 5 year old(?unreadable) T hornburg, was also a servant.
1920 Neither Henry or Amelia can be found but son Howard and hisfamil y were living in Henry Co. Perhaps they moved into Henry'splace after h e died.
