Sarah's obituary said:
MRS. SARAH VAN GUNDY

Mrs. Sarah Ann Van Gundy died at 9:15 a.m. Monday at her home,135 7 North Water street, aged 72 years. Pneumonia was the cause ofdeath.
Mrs. Van Gundy was born in 1831 in Scott county, Ill, and residedt here for 42 years. She also lived at macon for twenty years andwith h er husband came to Decatur to reside about ten years ago. Mrs.Van Gun dy was married to John Van gundy in Scott county in 1854 andwould have c elebrated her golden wedding next October. Mr. and mrs.Van Gundy were t he parents of nine children. Four sons and onedaughter and sixteen gr andchildren survive. The sons and daughterare E. H. and J. F. Van Gun dy of Decatur, D. H. Van gundy of Sullivanand Mrs. Laura McCaleb of Ma con.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and Rev. W.J.Dav idson will officiate. The burial will be at Greenwood cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Ann Van Gundy, who died Monday, will beh eld at 10:30 o'clock wednesday morning from the residence, 1357North W ater street. Rev. F.W. Burnham will be in charge. The burialwill be i n Greenwood cemetery.
Mrs. Van Gundy died at 9:15 o'clock Monday monring frompneumonia. H er death came after a short illness, but it was notunexpected on accou nt of her age.
She was almost 73 years old. She was born in Scott county.nearly t wenty yers later she moved to Macon, and lived there tillabout ten yea rs ago, when she came to Decatur. She would havecelebrated her golden w edding next October had she lived.
Mr. and Mrs. Van Gundy had nine children. Four sons and onedaugh ter are living. They are E.H. Van Gundy and J.F. Van Gundy ofMacon, J .D. Van Gundy of Decatur, D.H Van Gundy of Sullivan, and Mrs.laura McC aleb of Macon. Sixteen grandchildren also survive Mrs. VanGundy.

The funeral of Mrs. Martha Van Gundy was held at 10:30 o'clockWed nesday morning from the residence at 1357 North Water street.
Services were conducted by Rev. F.W. Burnham, pastor of theCentra l Church of Christ. They were attended by a large number ofpeople, am ong whom were several from macon and other towns.
The floral offerings were splendid. They did not excel so muchin n umber as in beauty and variety of design.
The pall bearers were C.S. Hankins, C.S. Needham, Nathan Carr,H.W . Waggoner, Charles Freeman and Jesse Humphries.
The burial was in Greenwood cemetery.
