At census time in 1920 Carrie Chipps was living with her parents,liste d as a 30 year old widow rather than divorcee.
According to stories told by those who knew her, she was somewhat of ac haracter. One person said every family needed an Aunt Carrie.
Niece, Dorisgene Van Gundy Webb, carries special memories of herancest ors:
"I've heard the phrase "This is my favorite aunt, or uncle." I alwaysl iked to hear it myself. But in my case each one had a special placein m y heart!"
"Aunt Carrie was always wanting me to fix her hair. I burned her earss everal times with the dryer but she never complained! Uncle Bill(Hols ton) was always drinking wine and eating soup yet he stayedthin!"
