The funeral was held on a Monday, Feb 11, at the Christian Church ofSu llivan. Rev W B Hopper officiated. Her obituary said the cause ofdea th was whooping cough that that her sister was seriously ill withthe s ame disease. Which sister was it?
Her mother remembered her in a diary entry: "This is always a sad dayo ur Baby has been in Heaven 33 yrs today. The other children werejust g etting over whooping cough, they all greved so, was pitiful,Ella would s ay 'dont cry Mommie hers sleepin' All the Folks were sogood to us & we h ad the other children & each other & Gods help, solife went on God ha s been so good, has spared our other 12 wonderfulchildren & given us s o many beautiful Grand Babies, my heart justbursts with gratitutde. B ut this little Angel still holds her ownlittle place in my heart."
