Michell Clerk of the County Court of said county, in thest ate aforesaid, do hereby certify that the following is a true andcorre ct extract from a certificate of marriage returned to the ClerksOffice o f said Court by William Johnson a Minister of the Gospel,which certifi cate is of record on file amongst the archives of saidCounty Court: “M arried Moses Preston and Fanny Arthur, July theninth, Seventeen hundre d and eighty three.” With the exception ofthe date which is expired on t he record in faint legible figures asfollows: “July 9th, 1783”. In tes timony whereof I have set myhand and affixed the seal of said court th is 31 day of July, onethousand eight hundred & forty three.
